Engaging with customers we assess flock management inputs, providing best practice recommendations. There are also opportunities highlighted through in-depth data analysis which helps drive customer strategy. Additionally, working close with our Aviagen specialists at key times to help with specific areas – Nutrition, Incubation, Veterinary matters, Gut health, R&D, Statistical analysis of data - all with the common goal of improving welfare and biological performance.

The Finance department works closely with and supports colleagues on budgeting, forecasting, reporting and purchasing. We provide proactive support, understanding, analysis and advice, delivering accurate and timely financial information. The UK Export team is responsible for the co-ordination of the export of day old chicks and hatching eggs from Aviagen’s supply bases in the UK and Europe to Asia, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa and the USA. We work together with our colleagues in other areas of the business including Production, Hatcheries, Egg Distribution Centre, Production Planning, Sales Planning, Veterinary, Logistics and Commercial on a daily basis to ensure the safe and timely export of our birds throughout the world. We also collaborate with freight agents, airlines and ground handling staff at the airport to ensure optimum conditions for our precious cargo.
The Aviagen veterinary team monitors and manages the health, welfare and productivity of our flocks across three generations of birds.
This enables us to ensure a bio-secure, reliable supply of quality genetics to customers in the UK and around the world.
We work directly with our on-farm teams, hatcheries, logistics and government agencies and make regular visits to customers and industry contacts around the world.
The Veterinary Laboratory has a diverse companywide function, receiving and processing samples from all over the world. Working closely with vets and farm production managers we ensure the health and welfare of our flocks, using numerous diagnostic methods to achieve this. We have ISO17025 accreditation allowing us to demonstrate competence in producing valid and reliable results, building trust among customers worldwide. Many of our results are used to enable export of hatching eggs and chicks globally to our customers, complying with national legislation. We continually assess new equipment and diagnostics that come to market with the aim of improving our processes. Working at the vet lab is a busy and interesting environment.
Our European Marketing Team has a wealth of experience and industry knowledge. This along with our energy and drive allows us to deliver Global, European and UK based campaigns across print and digital channels. We work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to design and produce assets that support all areas across the business for both internal and customer facing purpose. In addition, we manage company events and exhibitions including on site representation.
The EU IT Department is made up of 3 divisions; Developers, Service Desk and Infrastructure. We support and maintain all aspects of IT across the UK, Europe, Middle East and East Africa, including day-to-day support queries and troubleshooting, building bespoke applications, sourcing and installing large scale network solutions. We work closely with all areas of the business which means we have a great understanding of the business. To gain this we visit and interact with other offices, farms and hatcheries based in different locations. We are a hardworking, friendly bunch who have a passion for customer care!

The team manage the running of our breeding programmes, introduce new traits to breed for better welfare and efficiency, and carry out cutting- edge research in the areas of bird biology and animal breeding.
